Springfield USA

Universal Studios Hollywood
Springfield USA is colorful, charming, and has some of the best food Universal Studios Hollywood has to offer! It also connects the Upper Lot, Lower Lot, and the Studio Tour area together in a crossroads of sort.

The Simpsons Ride is the only ride in Springfield USA, but it's a classic and a fan favorite. The ride entrance is themed really well and makes for a perfect backdrop for photos.

The eateries in Springfield USA are really the main attractions. The charming outdoor seating area at Duff Brewery Beer Garden is delightful and great for people-watching. The giant donuts at Lard Lad Donuts are a fantastic mid-day snack. The creative drink selection and fun atmosphere of Moe's Tavern makes it a great afternoon hangout area. The classic Krusty Burger restaurant has all the basics in a colorful atmosphere. We're not talking 5-star food here, but most everything is pretty solid and the atmosphere is lively.

Enjoy a Donut at Lard Lad's
Lard Lad serves up just a couple of donuts, but they're very tasty and make great photos for instagram! The classic pink donut is giant and easy enough to share between friends for a quick snack.

Food & Drinks

Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck
Tacos & Nachos
Price: $10 - $20
This food truck is located just inside the entrance to the Duff Brewery Beer Garden. The tacos here are pretty solid and are perfect to pair with the drinks just across the garden. The menu is short and simple, as a food truck menu ought to be, with just 3 taco and 3 nacho options. The Mucho Macho Nachos are savory heaps of toppings on crunchy nachos that are perfect for the whole family to share. We highly recommend these as they're a great value and super delicious! The carnitas (both in taco and nacho form) are our favorites at this location.
Cletus' Chicken Shack
Fried Chicken, Chicken Sandwiches, Tenders
Price: $10 - $20
Fried Chicken is (obviously) the crowd pleaser at Cletus' Chicken Shack. The most popular meal, Cletus' Peep-Fried Chicken Platter, is a large portion of fried chicken served with corn, mashed potatoes, and a warm biscuit. It's a delicious plate that's large enough to share with one other person. The Chicken Thumbs are pretty basic but also great for kids. The Chicken & Waffle Sandwich is delicious and huge. The maple mayo sauce is pretty unique on this one, so we definitely recommend it for those of you who are a little more adventurous.
Duff Brewery Beer Garden
Alcoholic Beverages
Price: $15 - $20
Beer, cocktails, and wine are the options at Duff Brewery. From margaritas to chardonnay to Duff beer, there's plenty to try for those who are thirsty. Even for those who don't drink, the garden is a great spot to check out anyway. It's a little separated from the crowds via the main wall, so it's much more peaceful. There are also some great topiaries of the Seven Duffs throughout the garden, along with a large statue of Duffman (a popular photo spot).
Krusty Burger
Burgers, Hot Dogs, Desserts
Price: $15 - $20
No visit to Springfield is really complete without a stop at this fun burger joint that features the classic Krusty Burger! It's... exactly what you expect -a fast food joint with burgers as the main food options, along with soda and a few desserts to try. The standard Krusty Burger is pretty solid and better than most people expect. The Mother Nature Burger is also pretty decent and a great option for vegans who don't want to miss out on the fun. Marge's Loaded Peanut Butter Brownie is also a great dessert here, and pretty large for the price. All in all, Krusty Burger is a pretty reliable spot for classic American fast food in a colorful, 90's-fast-food atmosphere.
Kwik-E-Kart
Popcorn, Soda, Snacks
Price: $5 - $15
The Kwik-E-Kart is located near the far end of Springfield USA, toward the entrance to the area that leads down to the Studio Tour. It's just a small cart serving up snacks and drinks and is just another quick option for you to grab something small without having to wait in the longer lines at the other restaurants in Springfield.
Lard Lad Donuts
Donuts
Price: $5 - $10
Underneath the giant Lard Lad Donut statue is a simple ordering window with just 2 donut options (most of the time). There's either The Big Pink (Homer's favorite) or a Large Lad Donut (what they call all other donut flavors). The Big Pink is a classic and is the most popular donut here. Most people tend to get it for the photos but the donut itself is tasty and sweet. The Oreo Donuts and the Chocolate Glazed are some of our favorite variations. They're also instagram-worthy!
Luigi's Pizza
Pizza, Pastas, Garlic Bread
Price: $10 - $20
This quick service restaurant features classic Italian fast food in a charming old-school-but-cartoony atmosphere. They offer pizzas by the slice, whole pizzas, garlic bread, salads, and even one pasta option. The Nice Slice O' Cheese is a pretty decent slice of cheese pizza with a generous amount of cheese topping. The Meat Hater's is a vegan pizza that includes mushrooms, green bell peppers, tomatoes, olives, and red onions. The Meat Liker's Pizza, on the other end of the spectrum, is also delicious, with sausage, pepperoni, meatballs and bacon. Also, don't miss out on the Cheesy Garlic Bread here! They're cheap but amazing, and they're great to bring along to your next attraction.
Moe's Tavern
Alcoholic Beverages, Drinks
Price: $15 - $20
Moe's Tavern is for the beer lovers who prefer to sit in a dimly lit pub atmosphere rather than in the hot rays of the California sunshine across at the brewery garden. The menu is essentially the same as the one at the Duff Brewery Beer Garden, so it's a great alternative if the beer garden is busy (and vice versa!). While there aren't any topiaries to see here, you can still enjoy the broken jukebox or the Love Tester machine. Oh and don't forget to try a Flaming Moe -one of the specials here!
Phineas Q Butterfat's Ice Cream
Ice Cream Cones, Sundaes
Price: $5 - $10
If your sweet tooth is calling, Phineas Q. Butterfat's is where you should go in Springfield USA! They have all sorts of cold treats that are perfect for those hot Southern California afternoons. The Ice Cream Conans are a classic with tons of options to pair with the vanilla soft serve. The Banana Ripple and Watermelon are some of our favorite flavors to try. If you have a larger group or really just want to indulge your ice cream fantasies, the Phineas Q's Butterfat's Everything But The Kitchen Sink comes with soft serve topped with strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, Butterfingers, Oreos, and whipped cream -what more could you ask for?
Suds McDuff's Hot Dogs
Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Snacks
Price: $5 - $15
Whether you want a snack or a quick meal, Suds McDuff's is a great stop for hot dogs, pretzels, cotton candy, and churros. The Krusty's Non-Kosher Hot Dog Kombo is the usual choice here. It's a stretch hot dog that's served plain, which allows you to add whatever toppings you wish. It is just a basic hot dog, however, so it's not very exciting. The Twisted Pretzel of Marge Simpson is also delicious, especially when paired with a side of cheese sauce. The line can tend to get a little long towards the middle of the day, so we recommend going early or later in the day to avoid waiting too long for a snack at this cute location.

The Simpsons Ride
Height: Min. 40" | under 48" w/adult
Intensity Level: Mild
The Simpsons Ride is a virtual reality roller coaster ride that takes you through Krustyland and most of Springfield. You'll join Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie as they try to survive Krusty's low-budget theme park ride. The ride is exciting and fun for all ages. The combination of the screen and ride movements may not be so great for those with motion sickness problems, though -just a fair warning. Otherwise, this ride is a classic go-to for Universal Studios Hollywood park goers.
