Jurassic World

Universal Studios Hollywood
With just one ride and a couple of eateries, Jurassic World isn't a very large area of Universal Studios Hollywood. Most guests just refer to it as park of the Lower Lot area of the park. The theming of this land is wonderful to see, though, especially for fans of the beloved franchise.

Jurassic World - The Ride is one of the most popular rides in the theme park. There are often new or updated animatronics occasionally pop up, so the ride is anything but dated. There's also a thoughtful Dino Play area for the younger kids to spend some of their extra energy.

Jurassic Cafe is the main eatery in this land, with witty themed food options like the --- and ---. The line can sometimes get a little long here, and seating is limited, so we recommend stopping by during off-peak dining hours if you're craving some of their unique options. The Isla Nu-Bar is located just across from the cafe and offers creative blended drinks -perfect for enjoying in the long line for the Jurassic World ride.

Price: $15 - $25
So you've made it all the way down to the lower lot and you suddenly realize you're thirsty. The Isla Nu-bar is the place for you, with plenty of blended drink options made with fresh juices and edible flowers. You can even get a collectible tiki cup for your fancy drink, to really get in that vacation mood! The Tiki Tai, Bahama Mama, and classic Pina Colada are our favorite drinks at this location. Jurassic Cafe
Chicken, Pork, Sandwiches, Salads
Price: $15 - $20
Jurassic Cafe has one of the more unique menu options at Universal Studios Hollywood, with options like the Slow Roasted Mojo Pork, the Citrus Glazed Chicken, and the Turkey Leg Platter. The meals here are a step above the standard theme park options, so they're great for discerning eaters. The Slow Roasted Mojo Pork is delicious and filling and large enough to share between two people. The Isla Chicken Sandwich is also a great option that includes cabbage, tomato, chimichurri aioli, and Nublar sauce on a toasted bun. The chicken is juicy, the sauces add just the right amount of flavor, and the seasoned fries that go along with that meal are wonderful.

The ride is a calm tour... for the most part. The ending can be quite thrilling and wet, though. You'll likely not get soaked but you will get wet for sure, no matter where you sit on the boat!
Dino Play

Intensity Level: N/A
This charming play area for kids is themed around an excavation site with giant dinosaur fossils scattered around for kids to explore and discover. There's a jungle gym area, a rope plank bridge, a lookout, and other fun features for young ones to enjoy. There are even dinosaur eggs and a full size T. Rex skull!
Raptor Encounter

Intensity Level: N/A
Some of Jurassic's World's most popular citizens get to mingle with the crowd a little during dedicated timeslots near the Jurassic World ride. These meet and greets are perfectly safe, although sometimes a little intimidating for younger kids. The raptors are generally playful, though, with a good sense of humor. Be sure to grab a selfie for the 'gram if you see these gorgeous creatures out and about.
