Knott's Berry Farm is a wonderful theme park to bring children of all ages, especially fans of the classic Peanuts characters. With an entire land dedicated to rides and attractions for kids, as well as a plethora of other kid-friendly attractions throughout the park, there's plenty for the little ones to enjoy. These are some of the best rides for kids at Knott's Berry Farm, separated by age and height requirements.

Best Rides at Knott's Berry Farm for Kids of Any Age

From infants to older kiddos, these rides are great for any age!

Knott's Bear-Y Tales: Return to the Fair

Boardwalk
46" alone | under 46" w/adult
This competitive ride is a favorite for all ages, as it takes guests on a journey through a pie factory, woods, and finally, the county fair. The scenes are colorful and lively, and kids love being able to participate by targeting those pesky coyote pups. Older kids can play more competitively and try to get a higher score, while younger kids usually enjoy being able to hold the blaster and watch the scenes. It's nice that adults can also get in on the action by helping the kids and working on their own high scores.

Balloon Race

Camp Snoopy
36" alone | under 36" w/adult
This ride is a relaxing spinner ride that lets the whole family enjoy a few minutes of whirling through the air in colorful air balloon baskets. Kids will get to enjoy the ride's movement and the general scenery while adults get to sit and rest for a bit. This is also an excellent ride for photos! If kids ride in a different basket, guardians can usually get nice photos from their own basket.

Linus Launcher

Camp Snoopy
36" alone | under 36" w/adult
This ride has guests lying Superman-style as they fly through the air with Linus' blanket. It's a reasonably mild spinner ride with no surprises, so it's great for younger kids who are not interested in the more exciting rides. This ride is a bit awkward for taller adults, but they are able to ride with their kids. The slightly older kids can ride on their own while guardians wait by the ride.

Rocky Mountain Trucking Co

Camp Snoopy
36" alone | under 36" w/adult
Rocky Mountain Trucking Co is one of the most popular rides at Camp Snoopy! The little ones can ride in the front and "drive" the truck, while the older kids or guardians can enjoy the ride in the back of the trucks. With a charming track and plenty to interact with in the truck, kids thoroughly enjoy this ride. It's also a great ride for a photo!

Calico Mine Ride

Ghost Town
46" alone | under 46" w/adult
Calico Mine Ride is great for both younger kids who prefer to watch rather than ride and older kids who like to experience differing scenes and events throughout the ride. Guardians get to enjoy the atmosphere and take a significantly longer seated break; the ride is about 8 minutes long. This slow, dark ride takes guests through the lively Calico Mines where they'll be able to enjoy some unique sites and meet some fun characters. It's an older ride than most of the others in the park, but it's still a great one to try at least once.

Calico Railroad

Ghost Town
46" alone | under 46" w/adult
The Calico Railroad is a mild train ride through Knott's Berry Farm with a charming spin on it. Actors will take over the train carriages, one-by-one, for a quick show and a bit of fun with the guests. Kids will get to interact with the actors during the show and enjoy the scenery of the park during the rest of the ride.

Best Rides at Knott's Berry Farm for Kids 4-8 Years Old

For slightly older and taller kids, these rides offer a bit more thrills and the opportunity for them to ride on their own.

Charlie Brown's Kite Flyer

Camp Snoopy
36"
This swinging spinner ride is great for older kids who aren't quite ready for the full-sized swinging spinner in Fiesta Village. Guests get to go round and round the Kite-Eating tree on this mild ride. Most kids above the age of 4 should be tall enough to ride this ride alone, so guardians can relax by the ride and take photos.

Flying Ace

Camp Snoopy
32" min | 54" max
Perfect for kids who enjoy riding alone, the Flying Ace puts them in the cockpit of their own fighter plane as they search the skies for the Red Baron. There is a height limit of 54" for this ride, so guardians will have to let their little ones ride on their own. It's a great opportunity for ride photos, though!

Timberline Twister

Camp Snoopy
36" min | 69" max
Timberline Twister is a solid baby coaster for younger kids who are starting to get used to the more thrilling rides at theme parks. Guardians who are less than 69" may ride with their younger kids, but older kids tend to prefer to ride alone. Although it doesn't look like it, this coaster is BUMPY. This makes it a bit more thrilling for the kids, but can be a bit more painful for adults.

Surfside Gliders

Board Walk
44" alone | 36" w/adult
Located on the Board Walk pier, Surfside Gliders is a classic carnival ride that lets guests control a bit of their ride. Older kids can ride alone, while the younger ones will need to ride with an adult. Kids usually enjoy being able to control the direction and height of their glider as the ride spins you round and round. Paired with the catchy music from the live radio show nearby, the ingredients for a fun-filled core memory are all in place!

Wheeler Dealer Bumper Cars

Boardwalk
48" alone | 42" w/adult
Bumper cars have been around for decades because they're just so much fun! Taller kids can enjoy their own cars while younger kids can ride with adults. We often see guardians letting the young kids turn the wheel while they control the gas pedal. Kids love being able to take control of their own bumper car and weave to and fro through the crowd (or spin in an endless circle, as we've seen some do)!

Thrilling Rides at Knott's Berry Farm for Kids

For older and taller kids who are ready for the more exciting rides!

Sierra Sidewinder

Camp Snoopy
48" alone | 42" w/adult
One of the most popular rides in Camp Snoopy, this thrilling spinning coaster is a treat for older kids who like faster, wilder rides. The coaster doesn't go up too high, but it does move fast and the vehicles spin throughout the ride. It's exciting enough for most adults to enjoy with their kids, although the line can get a bit long during busier days in the park. Taller kids can also enjoy this on their own while parents relax nearby.

Dragon Swing

Fiesta Village
48" alone | 42" w/adult
The Dragon Swing at Knott's Berry Farm is one of the best rides to get younger kids used to higher heights. It's a relatively smooth, mild ride. The biggest excitement factor for this ride is how high it goes. It boasts some nice views of the park when you're at the higher points of the round, but you pay for it with that funny tummy feeling as the ride swings back down toward the ground.

Coast Rider

Boardwalk
54" alone | 44" w/adult
Similar to Sierra Sidewinder, Coast Rider is another mild coaster that taller kids can enjoy with their guardians or alone if they're tall enough. This one comes with a deep drop at the start, so it's great for getting kids used to larger drops on larger coasters. The rest of the ride is fairly mild, with a few smaller drops and lots of twists and turns. This is one of our favorite rides at Knott's Berry Farm, primarily for its accessibility for all ages and placement in Boardwalk near the diner and lively radio show.
