Sesame Place San Diego Food and Drinks

Sesame Place San Diego
The food options at Sesame Place San Diego are wanting in both quality and variety. The park itself isn't very large, so there are not too many dining locations to choose from. Each dining location only serves one type of food, with all of them sharing a handful of snack and dessert options so that you don't have to wait in a separate line for those.

In general, there are burgers, pizzas, and chicken tenders, all of which are reminiscent of elementary school cafeteria food. We think they're okay, and most kids seem to be fine with their options - they're just not great for those who are looking for something a little more unique or high quality. For the best food in the park, opt for the freshly-made tacos and burritos at Eats on the Street, or try the new Mushroom Ricotta Pizza at Telly's Trattoria!

Food & Drinks

Eats on the Street
Hot Dogs, Tacos, Burritos, Snacks
Price: $5 - $15
This is a self-service station you can find snacks like tacos, hot dogs, popcorn, and churros. The popcorn is gluten-free and the hot dog is offered without the bun for another gluten-free option. There is often a shorter and faster line at Eats on the Street, but sometimes certain items will run out and need to be refilled. Sometimes they don't get refilled for a while. This is really a hit-or-miss sort of place. The tacos and burritos are made to order, however, so those are usually available.
Frozen Treats
Dippin' Dots, Snacks, Drinks
Price: $5 - $10
Frozen Treats is a stand near the entrance that offers Dippin' Dots, chips, and beverages. They serve the Dippin' Dots in a fairly small cup and charge quite a bit for it, so it's not the best value. This stand is the most convenient way to grab some a snack or drink though, as it's usually boasts the shortest lines in the park.
Grover's Grill
Burgers, Sandwiches, Snacks
Price: $10 - $20
This grab-and-go stand offers burgers, sandwiches and nuggets with a side of chips. The handhelds have a gluten-free option of becoming lettuce wraps. The food itself is good, not great. Of all their options, the burger is generally regarded as the best. The line for food can get long, since it moves extremely slowly. You can mobile order via the Sesame Place California app, but you can't apply any discounts (like season pass discounts) on the mobile orders.
Monster Snacks
Chicken Tenders & Nuggets
Price: $10 - $20
Monster Snacks is a fast food stand that focuses on chicken tenders and chicken nuggets. The tenders are mediocre, but the waffle fries are solid. Like all the others in this food court, this eatery suffers from long and slow lines.
Oscar's Grouchy Grub
Snacks & Drinks
Price: $5 - $10
Here is a another snack station of the healthier variety. Oscar's Grouchy Grub offers an assortment of beverages, chips, and pretzels. It also offers alcoholic drinks like beers and cocktails for the adults at the park. This might be a good place to stop if the kids are getting too rowdy. Thankfully, lines here are usually pretty short.
Telly's Trattoria
Pizza & Cookies
Price: $5 - $12
Telly's Trattoria provides veggie, cheese and pepperoni pizza by the slice for adults and by the half slice for kids. Everything except the desserts is gluten-free, which is kind of nice. Fair warning though: Avoid the cookies because they are the worst cookies we've ever had. Even Cookie Monster would reject these treats.
