Knott's Berry Farm has an abundance of fantastic restaurants from food stalls to quick-service counters to full sit-down restaurants. With so many options to choose from, the decision can be overwhelming! Our list of the best Knott's Berry Farm food places can help you decide which restaurants you don't want to miss while you're enjoying this delightful theme park.

1. Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant

The restaurant that started it all, Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant rightfully deserves our top spot for our list of the best Knott's Berry Farm food places. This is a full sit-down restaurant that's actually located just outside the main theme park, in the California Marketplace area of Knott's Berry Farm. That means it's accessible to visitors without a theme park ticket, which is a bonus!

This eatery tends to get busy during usual dining hours, but that's to be expected for the best restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm. We recommend making reservations ahead of time to secure your spot.

The chicken, of course, is fantastic, whether you order it fried or roasted. The sides are filling and comforting, with classics like mashed potatoes, corn, and creamy country gravy. The chicken pot pie is also one of our favorites, and reheats well in the microwave for later.

The dessert is not to be missed at this charming restaurant either! Both the boysenberry and apple pies are delicious, especially when served a la mode. They also have a pie of the month for those wanting to try something more unique. For the lactose intolerant, there's also a tasty boysenberry sherbet on the menu.

2. Boardwalk BBQ

Boardwalk BBQ is just down the pathway from Coaster's Diner and is another pretty busy spot during usual dining hours. The restaurant offers up a variety of barbecue and southern comfort food favorites. They have a few variations of mac n cheese to choose from, all of which are worth a try! We usually go for the 3 Cheese Mac N Cheese, but some of our friends swear by the Pesto Mac N Cheese. The flank steak, pulled pork, and meatballs are our favorites here. The portions are pretty large, so you'll be able to share no matter which options you go for.

The restaurant is run in a cafeteria-style manner, where guests will go down the line and let the serves know which items they'd like. Everything is then piled onto a tray and given to you at the end, where you can head over to the cashiers. It's pretty quick and efficient, so the line moves at a decent pace, even if it's out the door.

3. Ghost Town Grill

Ghost Town Grill is another popular sit-down restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm. This one is located just around the corner from Fireman's Brigade BBQ. The restaurant itself is charmingly themed, and its outdoor patio is one of the best places to sit and enjoy people watching while having a meal.

Although the food and atmosphere here is fantastic, the restaurant isn't always open, and waits can be very long, since seating is limited. This makes it more difficult to experience during busy seasons (when the restaurant is packed) or particularly slow days (when the restaurant doesn't even open).

If you do get the chance to eat here, however, the Pork Chops, Shrimp and Crab Dip, and Maple Glazed Chicken are absolutely wonderful! They do also have salad and sandwich/burger options that are a little cheaper and are also tasty. The Calamari, in particular, is one of our favorites, with its sweet and tangy boysenberry sauce!

The dessert menu at Ghost Town Grill is also arguably the best one at the park. It includes pies, floats, cheesecakes, and ice cream treats. The Boysenberry Sundae and the Buttermilk Chocolate Cake are great options.

4. Prop Shop Pizzeria

Knott's Berry Farm's newest restaurant is also one of its best! Prop Shop Pizzeria offers fresh salads, large slices of pizza, build-your-own pasta bowls, a rainbow of delectable desserts, and some of the best garlic knots we've ever had.

As a new restaurant, the restaurant and kitchen is sleek and clean. The menu is varied, with plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. The pizza at this restaurant is pretty solid - a big step up from the Hollywood Hits Pizza restaurant that used to be in its location. The stromboli is also delicious and soft, although sometimes it's out of stock.

Our favorite meal to get is the build-your-own pasta bowls. The vegetable based bolognese is thick and delicious, but we also enjoy the creamy alfredo sauce. The pasta itself is just okay, but the generous sauce and toppings make it a great value, especially if you share between two or three people.

The desserts at Prop Shop Pizzeria are some of the best food you can get at Knott's Berry Farm. They have a rich Bavarian Oreo Brownie, along with a decadent Rainbow Cake Slice, Cannolis, and a Cinnamon Bun Cake Slice that has us coming back for more every time. We can only hope all of Knott's Berry Farms upcoming new restaurants are as fantastic as this!

4. Fireman's Brigade BBQ

Fireman's Brigade BBQ is a popular eatery in Ghost Town that serves up freshly grilled pork ribs, chicken, sausages, turkey legs, and a delicious steak sandwich. Just about everything on the menu is a winner at this quick-service eatery. The serving portions are large enough to share for two or sometimes even three people, depending on how hungry you are.

The outdoor seating area is lively and offers views of the surrounding shops and Bird Cage Theater. Occasionally, they'll have a live band playing for you to enjoy near the gift shop.

The line tends to move more slowly here than at other eateries. This is partially due to only having 2 cashiers and the food being cooked fresh. It's well worth the wait, however, for the quality of food, so long as you're not looking at more than a 30 minute wait.

5. Coaster's Diner

Coaster's Diner is located in the back of the park, in Boardwalk. It's a 50's-themed diner that serves up interesting burgers, salads, and a deliciously indulgent boysenberry shake. The lines can get pretty long here, however, and it's sometimes very difficult to find seating, but that just shows how popular this place is.

This location is also part of the dining plan locations, whether on the seasonal dining plan or the all-day dining plan. You'll get one of the best values for your dining credits here, with their more unique burger options. They also serve up tenders and a few other classics for picky eaters.

This restaurant also has a small salad/vegetable bar, where you can grab your own lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to customize your food.

6. Ghost Town Bakery

The Ghost Town Bakery at Knott's Berry Farm is one of the restaurants that open early in the day. It's great for a breakfast pastry or even a sandwich if you're feeling something more filling. The treats here are a pretty great value, since they go for between $2 to $7, and they can easily be shared for a light snack. The sandwiches go for a little more but are also easy to share between two people.

Boysenberry fans can rejoice at the myriad of boysenberry-flavored treats at this bakery. The Boysenberry Cheesecake, Boysenberry Tart, and Boysenberry Cookie are some of our favorites! The Snoopy Cookie is also adorable, especially during the holiday season when they add a little santa hat to the classic treat.

Our #1 go-to item here, however, are the Bear Claws. They're soft and buttery, yet have a great crunch from the almonds. We could eat this treat every single day and still thoroughly enjoy it. We always recommend stopping by this bakery since it's one of the best Knott's Berry Farm food places in Ghost Town for dessert.

7. Calico Tater Bites

Calico Tater Bites is one of the many, many quick service eateries located in the Sutter's food area. It's around the corner from the more popular places, so it can easily be missed. The loaded taters here, however, are amazing! They rival the loaded fries at Papa Loca, across the park at Fiesta Village.

The serving sizes are huge, easily shared between three people as a regular meal or two hungry people. The best part: it's part of the dining plans, which make them a fantastic deal. The meals are also served in convenient take-out boxes, so you can just pack them away and eat the leftovers later if you can't finish the full meal.

The lines at Calico Tater Bites never tend to get too long, so it's a great option if you want something filling but don't want to wait in longer lines during peak dining hours. We also like to stop by as we're leaving the park to take a meal home to-go, especially if we have the dining plan.

8. Wilderness Broiler

Wilderness Broiler is a bit of a wild card option, having both served our favorite and our least favorite meals at Knott's Berry Farm. This counter-served, outdoor eatery is frequently the location of tester food items at the park, as well as holiday specials. We always make a point to swing by every park visit to see if there's something new on the menu -sometimes it's well worth the walk.

On a regular day, the standard fare at Wilderness Broiler will include a burger, tenders, and one other unique option. This can be a fish dish, another sandwich-type meal, or something else completely. These extra meals are the ones to look out for during your visit. This location also accepts the dining pass plans, so it's one of our recommended places to check out with the pass.

The Pistachio Mahi Mahi is the best dish we've ever had at Knott's Berry Farm, and it was served at this location during their January-February 2022 Peanuts Celebration. We're hoping it makes a come back for 2023. The Boysenberry Filled Donut Open Faced Chicken Sandwich is also one of our favorites at this location. That was served during the Boysenberry Festival in 2022. When it comes to the standard options at this eatery, the burgers and tenders are on par with the ones you can get at most other restaurants at the park. They're fine, but nothing special.
