As one of the newer, fancier coasters in Dollywood, Lightning Rod is also one of the most popular. If you're looking for some great entertainment or just a way to get out of the heat for a little while, Pine's Theater is a great option. The theater is large, has cold A/C, and the performers here are fantastic. The shows are a lot more formal, as opposed to the shows held outdoors around the park, so it's a nice change.

A classic rise and drop ride, this one is great for families or younger children who are prepping themselves for the bigger drop rides. The Scrambler
Height: 48" alone | under 48" w/adult
Intensity Level: Mild
One more spinning ride to enjoy at Country Fair. This one stays low to the ground though, so it's great for younger children or people who aren't a big fan of heights.
Located in Country Fair
The Waltzing Swinger
Height: 42"
Intensity Level: Mild
Another classic fair ride that lifts you up above the park in your own individual swing. This ride can be a bit dizzying, especially after a big meal, so just keep that in mind. The ride is fairly short though -perhaps just a minute or two long, but the lines for the ride are usually short.

This train ride takes you through the park and up into the smoky mountains area for some pretty sights. It's a relaxing, 20 minute ride that's great for the whole family. Blazing Fury
Height: 42"
Intensity Level: Mild
This charming dark ride and coaster is great for families to enjoy together. It's one of the few rides in the park with animatronics, but the animatronics are honestly pretty scary looking (because of the quality). The ride itself is pretty enjoyable though, with a few small surprise drops sprinkled in.

True to its namesake, there are plenty of little crafting areas in this land where guests can watch artists at work and even participate! There are so many opportunities to learn about traditional skills from professional craftsmen.

Firechaser Express
Height: 39"
Intensity Level: Thrilling
This coaster is by no means the most thrilling or the most unique in Dollywood, but it's definitely one of the most popular and most enjoyable coasters in the park. The theming is fantastic, and the reverse launch is a fun twist near the end. Lines can get a bit long, due to its popularity.

If you've ever dreamed of flying, Wild Eagle is the perfect ride for you. It takes you high above the theme park as you soar through the trees. With one of the biggest drops in the park, this one is definitely not for those with a fear of heights.
Located in Wilderness Pass
Dragonflier
Height: 39" | 81" max
Intensity Level: Thrilling
The Dragonflier is a thrilling family coaster that mimics a dragonfly's flight, close to the ground through twists and turns. The flight doesn't have any loops or large drops, so it's suitable for most guests. The line can get long and move a bit slowly, so we recommend hitting this ride early in the day.

The Mad Mockingbird

Thunderhead is a classic wooden coaster with speeds up to 55 mph. This one is as must-do for coaster fans and thrill seekers. It's a bumpy ride with twists, turns, hills, and big drops.
Located in Timber Canyon
Whistle Punk Chaser
Height: 36"
Intensity Level: Mild
This is a fairly quick coaster that's great for kids who are just starting to get used to coasters. It looks pretty mild, but the back seat, like most coasters, can really whip you around during the ride. Because it was made for kids, some larger adults may not fit in the seats. It has a short track, so they have you go around it 3 times.
Located in Timber Canyon
The Chasing Rainbows Museum

This museum takes you through Dolly Parton's life story as you explore exhibit after exhibit. This is definitely a must-do for Dolly fans, and is still quite an interesting place for those who aren't fans. It's a multi-story museum with plenty to see, including a hologram of Dolly in a basement room. There are also some seating areas inside, so it's a solid choice if you need some A/C and a place to take a break for a little while.
