Adventuredome Rides & Attractions

Adventuredome
The Adventuredome theme park is home to about 20 rides and a few additional attractions to entertain guests for an afternoon. At 5 acres, it manages to fill most of its space with plenty to do, and guests don't have to worry about having to take tens of thousands of steps to navigate the park. From roller coasters to classic rides to some more unique offerings, there's a little something for everyone at the Adventuredome.

The rides and attractions at Adventuredome are lightly themed to the Grand Canyon or desert atmosphere. You'll notice large rock formations and adobe-style buildings as you traverse the park. While it's not Disney-level theming, it brings the components of the park together so that it's a more cohesive experience.

Guests can choose from individual ride selections or an all-day ride wristband (currently $40 for those 48" or taller or $20 for those shorter). We recommend checking out the rides and attractions before decising to purchase an all-day ride wristband, so you can make your best decision.

Rides & Attractions

INTENSITY LEVELS

Relaxing (Slow with Little or No Elevation Changes) | Mild (Slow to Moderately Fast with Potentially Higher Elevation)

Thrilling (Fast with Potential High Elevations & Loops) | Wild (Intense Speeds, Extreme Heights, and/or Loops)
4D Theater
Height: 48" alone | 33" - 48" w/adult
Intensity Level: Mild
Adventuredome's 4D Theater offers a variety of experiences that change every so often. The ride moves you in your seat and offers additional experiences to your senses, whether that involves getting sprayed with water, bubbles coming from the theater, or other fun tricks. The Spongebob Squarepants iteration is a solid classic that seems to come back every so often. The Ice Age experience is decent as well. The Scooby Doo version is new and is a great one, especially for fans of the classic cartoon.
Angry Birds the Ride
Height: N/A
Intensity: Mild
This 4D ride focuses on the popular Angry Birds franchise. It's more intense than the traditional 4D rides with bigger impacts and special effects. It's quite a lot of fun for kids and adults who enjoy a chaotic experience.
Arcade
Height: N/A
Intensity: N/A
The arcade at Adventuredome is okay for what it is. It's never busy, even if the rest of the park is busy, so you're able to play whatever you like. The amount and quality of games is mediocre, but that's to be expected, since most people don't come to this theme park for the arcade.
Bank Heist Laser Challenge
Height: N/A
Intensity: Mild
This attraction offers a couple of game modes for guests to enjoy: Crack the Code and Escape the Vault. Both require a bit of maneuvering to avoid laser lights that form across the room. This experience is not included in an all-day ride wristband, so you'll need to pay extra for it, per person. It's a great way to kill about 15-20 minutes though, and is something more unique than the rest of the park's offerings.
BC Bus
Height: 36"
Intensity: Mild
This ride is a bus pendulum ride that's great for families with younger kids. It doesn't go particularly high, but it gives a nice view of the surrounding area nonetheless. It also never really has a long wait, as the line moves quickly due to a short ride time and decent capacity on the vehicle.
Canyon Blaster
Height: 48"
Intensity: Thrilling
Canyon Blaster is an old time favorite at Adventuredome, taking guests on a thrilling tour of the dome and zipping past a bunch of their other attractions. It has a double-loop and double-corkscrew, so thrill seekers are in for a good time, but it's also feasible for general coaster fans that don't want something too intense.
Canyon Cars
Height: 54" to drive | 42" to ride
Intensity: Mild
Adventuredome's bumper car ride is pretty much what you'd expect: retro vehicles and a fairly small track. Kids really seem to enjoy this ride, since they're encouraged to zip around to their heart's content, and crashing is part of the fun. It is a bit easy to miss, since it's one of the back corners of the dome, so the lines are usually no longer than a 10 minute wait.
Chaos
Height: 48"
Intensity: Wild
Chaos is a wild ride that spins you in three ranges of motion as it lifts off the ground. This one isn't for the faint of heart, as it can be a pretty bump ride. If you're short or a small person, you'll be tossed around in your seat when the ride starts to spin upside down. You can actually control a bit of the movement of your vehicle by swinging back and forth, if you want to add even more spinning to your experience.
Circus Carousel
Height: 42"
Intensity: Relaxing
We've never seen a theme park without a carousel and Adventuredome is no exception. Aside from the classic horses, this carousel features a gorgeous sea-horse-dragon type creature, a rabbit, a lion, and few other colorful animals. It's a fairly small carousel that seems to sit less than 20 people at a time, so the line may move slowly at this ride, even if it's short.
Classic Arcade
Height: N/A
Intensity: N/A
Adventuredome's Classic Arcade pays tribute to the games that started it all, from Pacman to Street Fighter, and other retro favorites. The space itself isn't very large, but it has plenty to offer nonetheless. The downside is this area isn't open all days, so it may or may not be available when you visit.
Disk'O
Height: 48"
Intensity: Thrilling
Disk'O spins riders round and round as they swing back and forth on a ramp. This ride can get a bit intense but is great for people who enjoy more thrilling rides but not heights. We really don't recommend it for those who get motion sick though, the motion can get nauseating, especially soon after eating.
Drifters
Height: 42"
Intensity: Relaxing
This ride takes you up on your own hot air balloon, lifting you up above the crowds. It really is a great view from the top as the balloons rotate slowly round and round. It's a great ride that the whole family can enjoy, and the lines are usually pretty decent.
El Loco
Height: 48"
Intensity: Wild
With an almost 90 degree drop and a 1.5 vertical-G, El Loco is easily the most exciting ride in the theme park. Its bright yellow track twists and turns and loops all around itself as it takes guests on the ride of their lives. The ride vehicle only seats four, giving it a lot more leeway to give guests a unique coaster experience.
Frog Hopper
Height: 36" to 58"
Intensity: Mild
Frog Hopper is one of two attractions made specially for younger kids. There's a height limit on this ride, so parents won't be able to join in unless they're under 58" tall. Up and down kids will go in a motion gentle enough for little ones while still feeling like a ride and not an elevator.
Inverter
Height: 48"
Intensity: Thrilling
Inverter is another Adventuredome ride that is a classic favorite. It's a pendulum ride where the ride vehicle also spins, letting guests sit upside down for an extended period. The swinging motion feels like a large swing that takes you upside down and back around again. As a popular ride, lines can get long, but it moves quickly thanks to a decent ride capacity.
Lazer Blast
Height: 42"
Intensity: N/A
Lazer Blast is located in the heart of the main arcade and features a nicely themed entrance and a watching room for those who aren't interested in participating. The inside arena is dark and a little spooky, with lots of nooks and crannies for players to duck and hide under as they pass friendly fire back and forth.
Main Stage
Height: N/A
Intensity: N/A
Right inside the entrance to Adventuredome is a stage that offers performances throughout the day and into the evening. The daytime shows are usually clown shoes with one or two clowns doing performances and tricks for the audience. They themselves don't draw a very big crowd, but the visitors waiting in the ticketing lines are able to watch and enjoy from nearby. Performance times are usually posted on a sign either on the stage or right next to it.
Midway Games
Height: N/A
Intensity: N/A
True to its roots as part of the Circus Circus Hotel, the theme park offers an area with a variety of classic carnival and circus games that visitors can enjoy. The games are pay-to-play and include favorites such as a water gun game, Darts, Horse Race, and Basketball. If any of the large prizes catch your eye, you can trade up smaller prizes for medium ones and then medium ones for the larger ones.
NebulaZ
Height: 42"
Intensity: Thrilling
Disk'O is one of the newer rides at Adventuredome, and you can really tell by how fresh it looks compared to the other rides. It spins riders on a rotating axel in pods that seat pairs of riders back to pack. It's one of the more unique rides in the park, and not one we've seen at many other parks either. It's not too intense, so it's well worth the ride if you're curious.
Pirates Bounty Golf Course
Height: N/A
Intensity: N/A
This mini golf course can be easily missed, even with its semi-large signage, since it lacks a rather exciting entrance. It's not include in the all-day ride wristband, so players will have to pay to borrow the clubs and balls. The course itself is fairly disappointing, however, and not worth the money. It's a small, 18-hole course with mediocre decorations and painted backdrops, themed around pirates. In all honestly, it's probably the worth mini golf course we've ever seen. We recommend walking in to the course area to look around before purchasing clubs.
Road Runner
Height: 42"
Intensity: Mild
Road Rinner is an on-the-ground spinner ride where guests go round and round in their own vehicle. There's really nothing exciting about it, but it's a decent ride for younger kids who don't enjoy the more thrilling rides in the park or are too young for them.
Sand Pirate
Height: 48" alone | 33" w/adult
Intensity: Thrilling
This ride is a classic pendulum boat ride that takes rides high up into the air and back down again before swinging back the other direction. If you love those rides that give your tummy that "whoo" feeling, this is one you shouldn't miss!
Sling Shot
Height: 48"
Intensity: Thrilling
Sling Shot shoots guests to the top of the pink dome for a great view of the park before dropping back down again for a quick, easy ride. It boasts 4 g's of acceleration, but it's really not too bad, and the height is not too high, since it's limited by the height of the dome ceiling. Still, it's a decent slingshot ride for what it is, and the only one in town if you don't count the one on top of the Stratosphere Hotel.
Swinger Ride
Height: N/A
Intensity: Mild
This mild swinger ride is one of Adventuredome's newer rides as they bring more traditional carnival rides to the theme park. Compared to most other swinger rides, this one stays pretty close to the ground. This makes it a pretty decent family ride, since heights shouldn't be an issue. It's everything you'd expect from a spinner ride -nothing more and nothing less.
Teacup Ride
Height: N/A
Intensity: Mild
Adventuredome's Teacup ride is one of its newer attractions, even though the concept is a classic one. A charming white and blue teapot spins riders in their very own teacups round and round. It's a beloved ride concept that almost everyone has ridden, so the line can get pretty long.
Thunderbirds
Height: 36" to 58"
Intensity: Mild
This ride is another one that was made for kids, giving them control of their own helicopter as it circles round and round. Riders can life their helicopter up higher or swoop lower to the ground depending on how they feel. It's pretty standard with no frills but will get the job done for entertaining the young ones.
Xtreme Zone
Height: N/A
Intensity: Mild
Although it has a pretty intense name, the Xtreme Zone is really just a rock climbing wall that guests can climb throughout the day. They have a few difficulties to choose from. The wall does go pretty high, but it's fun to be able to see quite a bit of the park as you go higher. This attraction does have an additional cost to do, though.
